Some chapters close gently. Others close all at once. Either way, what comes after deserves space. Space to feel, to settle, and to slowly find your footing again.
Honoring What Was, Embracing What Is, Creating What Comes Next
Grief is not limited to the loss of a loved one. It can emerge through many of life's transitions—divorce, the end of a friendship, relocation, changes in health, unmet dreams, career shifts, and other experiences that leave us navigating change and uncertainty.
This retreat will be a gentle and supportive journey designed to explore grief in its many forms while fostering connection, self-discovery, and hope. Through guided reflection, storytelling, mindfulness practices, creative activities, and group discussion, participants will have the opportunity to honor their experiences in a safe and compassionate environment.
Co-facilitated by a grief counselor - Nehad Metawei and a yoga teacher - Mariam Sobhy, this retreat offers a balanced approach that nurtures both emotional well-being and mind-body connection. Together, we will explore the impact of loss, share meaningful stories, identify sources of strength and resilience, and discover ways to move forward while carrying what matters most. Meditative practices like breathing, gentle yoga movements and meditation will be supporting you in your journey.
This retreat is not about "getting over" grief. It is about making space for our experiences, connecting with others, and finding meaning, growth, and possibility in the chapters that lie ahead.
We’ll move through the weekend with one gentle thread in mind:
✨ Honoring What Was
Making room for memories, gratitude, and the experiences that shaped us.
✨ Embracing What Is
Grounding into the present moment through breath, movement, and shared reflection.
✨ Creating What Comes Next
Leaving with a little more clarity, lightness, and openness to what’s ahead.
Come for the sea, air, the slow mornings, and the space to simply be.
