Why should I practice yoga? I am too stiff, too overweight, too weak…can I still practice yoga? What will happen when I practice yoga? Yoga practice got nothing to do with your current physical state, in contrary, the weaker you feel physically the more you actually need yoga. But the thing is, Yoga practice originally, was never about the physical capabilities, in the ancient spiritual texts, whenever “yoga” was mentioned, it was never referred to it as this physical practices we see in class, it was referred to as a mental state, a state of clarity and steadiness, and we achieve this state through taking care of ourselves fro so many aspects, the physical aspect is only one way to do it, and its a mean to reach a higher mental and spiritual state. Practicing yoga is a lifestyle, not attending a class to become flexible.
